The most famous of these, of course, being Shu Ting, original Misty Poet, and still an important part of China’s poetry scene, even if she refuses to read her own poetry at such events (handled by professional “poetry reciters” 朗诵).  Most of us, though, read our own works, to various degrees of attentiveness.  Most riveting, without a doubt, was Liu Suola’s musical performance.  This added much needed dynamism to the sometimes less than dynamic expressions of MidAutumn melancholy (my own included, to be sure).
